Francis Mary of Camporosso

Francesco Maria da Campo Rosso (born Giovanni Croese; * December 27, 1804 in Campo al Mare, Italy, † September 17, 1866 in Genoa, Italy ) was an Italian Capuchin monk. He is a saint of the Catholic Church.

Francesco joined the Capuchins in 1825 in Genoa on. He then worked as a religious man in the alms collection and in the kitchen, but also took care of the sick. The population of Genoa called him as far back as the Holy Father.

Francesco was instituted by Pope Pius XI. 1929 and blessed by Pope John XXIII. Canonized in 1962.
