Francis McDonald

Francis James McDonald ( born August 22, 1891 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA, † September 18, 1968 in Hollywood, California ) was an American film actor.

Life

McDonald began his career as an actor in the theater. He had his very first film role in 1913 in the short film Carmen, followed by roles in over 300 movies and since the 1960s many roles for television in countless series. He had also played on Broadway, could not prevail there. His first role in a sound film, he played in 1930 in Burning Up.

He had his most important role as "Simon" on the side of Charlton Heston in the movie The Ten Commandments, 1956.

He was married from 1915 to 1922 with the then very popular actress Mae Busch.

The busy actor died in 1968 in Hollywood.
