Francis Vyvyan Jago Arundell

Francis Vyvyan Jago Arundell (* 1780, † 1846) was a British clergyman and explorer. He was the brother of James Morier.

From 1822 to 1834 he worked as a British chaplain of Smyrna and undertook during this period in 1826 and 1833 two research trips to the ancient sites of Asia Minor. He is particularly interested in the mentioned places in the New Testament, especially the Seven Churches of the Revelation of John.

His laid down in two plants travel descriptions are for archeology and historic topography still of great value because they describe many today no longer preserved places and monuments.
