Francisco Clavet

Francisco Javier Clavet González ( born October 24, 1968 in Aranjuez, Madrid Province ) is a former Spanish tennis player.

He stood as a single player five times in a final of an ATP tournament and eight of them could decide for themselves. All his turn victories he celebrated on clay court. In doubles, he never was able to win an ATP tournament, but was also in four finals and won at the beginning of his career, a Challenger tournament in Verone on the side of his older brother Jose (who was never among the top 100).

Clavet won for Spain, all three meetings at which he competed. He won the 1999 New Zealand 5-0 against both against Brett Steven and against Mark Nielsen without dropping a set. Against Italy he won the already significant for deciding singles match against Spain's 1-4 defeat at Vincenzo Santopadre.
