Francisco Valdés Muñoz Segundo ( born March 19, 1943 in Santiago de Chile, † August 10, 2009 ) was a Chilean football player and later coach. When Active, above all with CSD Colo -Colo very successful and also double World Cup participants, he was later in Chile 's first division coach.

Francisco Valdés was born in 1943 in the Chilean capital Santiago, started playing football at the club based there CSD Colo -Colo, today 's most successful club of the Chilean football. National

Coaching career

After his playing career was Francisco Valdés football coach. In this role, he trained, among others, the teams of Coquimbo Unido, Lota Schwager, Rangers de Talca or CD Magallanes. Great successes were thereby denied him, however.

After Valdés his last activity was in 1997 as coach of Magallanes, he retired into private life. The former midfielder died on August 10, 2009 in Santiago de Chile at the age of 66 years due to heart failure.
