Franco Coppola

Franco Coppola ( born March 31, 1957 in Maglie ) is a diplomat of the Holy See.

Life

Franco Coppola received on 12 September 1981, the ordination.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 16 July 2009 Titular per hac vice of Vinda and Apostolic Nuncio in Burundi. He received his episcopal consecration, the Pope personally on 12 September of the same year; Co-consecrators were Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone SDB Evasio Pietro, Cardinal Secretary of State and Cardinal Chamberlain, and William Joseph Cardinal Levada, Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and the President of the International Theological Commission and the Pontifical Biblical Commission.

Pope Francis appointed him on 31 January 2014 Apostolic Nuncio in the Central African Republic. On April 2, 2014, Pope Francis appointed in addition to the Apostolic Nuncio in Chad.
