François Bordes

François Bordes ( born December 30, 1919 in Rives, Lot- et- Garonne, † April 30, 1981 in Tucson, Arizona) was a French archaeologist and specialist in the Paleolithic. He was Professor of Prehistory and Early History at the University of Bordeaux I. From there, he conducted numerous excavations to the Paleolithic of the Aquitaine region. Among the most famous places of discovery, in which he has carried out excavations or excavations, include La Micoque, Le Moustier, Pech- de - l'Azé, Combe- Grenal, Corbiac and La Quina.

He was also the author of several science fiction books he wrote under the pseudonym Francis Carsac.
