François Crépin

François Crépin ( born October 30, 1830 in Rochefort, † April 30, 1903 in Brussels) was a Belgian botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " CREP. ".

Life and work

Crépin founded a garden nursery in Ghent, Belgium. In 1862 he founded the Société Royale de Botanique de Belgique. From 1876 to 1901 he was director of the Botanical Garden Brussels.

The plant genus Crepinella March. has been named after him.
