François Méthot

François Méthot ( born April 26, 1978 in Montreal, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since May 2011 at the Krefeld Penguins in the German Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

As a junior, played in the Quebec Major Junior Méthot Hockey League for the laser de Saint- Hyacinthe, before he was elected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1996 by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round as 54th. Two years remained the winger in the QMJHL with Rouyn -Noranda Huskies and the Shawinigan Cataractes to before brought him the Sabres in their farm team to Rochester.

Five years played the Franco-Canadian for the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League, before he decided after one year at Premier League rivals Portland Pirates for a move to Europe. The striker joined the DEL to the Augsburg Panthers, which he left in the direction of Sinupret Ice Tigers after one year 2005. With both teams was François Méthot scorer, each with over 40 points. From the 2006/07 season he played for the Adler Mannheim in the DEL, with whom he won the DEB Cup and the German Cup at first attempt. Even with the eagles of the right shooter was in the preliminary round of internal team leading scorer and finished at the end of fourth place in the DEL.
