Frank Dehne

Frank Dehne ( born February 14, 1976 in Berlin ) is a former German national volleyball player.

Career

Frank Dehne was 293 times the German national team, only René Hecht graduated more internationals. Frank Dehne began his volleyball career in 1985 in the small Berlin SG Rupenhorn. In 1994 he came to Bundesliga Post Telekom Berlin. In 1997 he moved inside the capital to local rivals SCC Berlin. In the same year he was appointed to the senior national team, with whom he participated at the European Championships in the Netherlands. With the SC Dehne 2000 won the DVV Cup and in 2003 German Masters. At the European Championships in Germany, he experienced his third European Championship after 1997 and 2001. Subsequently he went abroad. After a season with the French club Rennes Etudiants Club Volley he moved to Lube Macerata. With the Italians he won the 2005 CEV Cup. He then played against newly Codyeco St. Croce, but could not prevent his club were relegated straight back. In the 2006 World Cup in Japan, it was significantly better for Dehne; at the end it was enough for ninth place. Then he came in Vibo Valentia hardly used. After the descent of the clubs and a brief stint in Coriglano Dehne left Italy and went to the Polish club PZU AZS Olsztyn. With the national team he won at the 2007 European Championships in Russia in fifth place and at the Olympic Games in Beijing in August 2008 to ninth place. After the Olympic tournament he first played back in Italy at Marmi Lanza Verona and 2009/10 in Turkey with Galatasaray.
