Frank Hutchens

Frank Hutchens ( born January 15, 1892 in Christchurch, † October 18th 1965 in Sydney) was a New Zealand composer.

Hutchens studied at the Royal College of Music in London piano and composition with Tobias Matthay and Frederick Corder. From 1908 to 1911 he taught himself there. From 1915 to 1956 he was professor of piano at the Conservatory of Sydney. Since 1924, he joined with Lindley Evans on piano duo.

He composed a concerto for two pianos and orchestra, a concerto for piano and strings, an overture, chamber music, a cantata, piano and choral pieces.
