Frank Løke

Frank Loke ( born February 6, 1980 in Sandefjord, Norway) is a Norwegian handball player. He is 1.93 m tall and weighs 106 kg.

Frank Loke began in his hometown in the national top club Runar Sandefjord with the handball game. There, the district runner debuted in the first Norwegian league and won the 1999 and 2002, the Norwegian championship. When his club, however, fell into residue content, Loke to SV Post Schwerin in the second handball league. There he was involved in the 2003/2004 season with more than 200 gates instrumental in promotion to the Handball Bundesliga; yet he did not renew his one-year contract and moved on to the FCK Håndbold to Copenhagen. There, too, he was among 140 hits for the service providers, whereupon the SG Flensburg- Handewitt became aware of Loke and 2005 took him under contract. However, the SG had with Michael V. Knudsen and Johnny Jensen already two strong runners circle; therefore Loke was initially loaned for a year at the Grasshopper Club Zurich, before he was then in 2006 Johnny Jensen inherit. But when Jensen extended his contract in Flensburg until 2008, the lending transaction with Zurich has also been extended for a further two years.

In 2007, though Arnold was Schuler, president of the GC Zurich and promoter of Loke, disempowered. Schuler then moved to local rivals ZMC Amicitia Zurich; at the same time he and Loke broke on the still existing contract with Flensburg, so Loke Schuler 2007, follow along with five other players to Amicitia Zurich. With Zurich Loke won the 2008 and 2009 the Swiss Championship and 2009 SHV Cup.

In June 2009, Loke each signed a contract with the clubs Skjern Håndbold and RK Zagreb. Loke was a short time later known to want to play in Zagreb, why Skjern hired a lawyer to check the facts. In September 2009, finally it was announced that he will continue to wear the jersey of RK Zagreb. Due to the two contracts signed Loke was blocked for international matches of the EHF nine months. However, RK Zagreb appealed against the judgment, which is why Loke was initially eligible to play. On 13 January 2010 the judgment was upheld by the European Court of Arbitration of the EHF, which Loke was closed until 13 September 2010 for all international club competitions. In spring 2010, Loke moved to TuS N- Lübbecke.

Frank Loke has been disputed 186 caps for the Norwegian national team. He is regarded as one of the strongest offensive circle runners in the world. He also took part in the 2006 European Championship and at the World Cup 2007 in Germany. In the former, even statistically the best pivot player of the tournament, he left anyway both times already after the first round and finished in the latter at the end of the 13th Place. The 7th place at the World Championship in 2005 therefore represents his greatest international success dar. At the 2008 European Championships in his own country, he reached with Norway the 6th Place and was voted the best pivot player of the tournament.

His two sisters Heidi and Lise are also known handball players.
