Fränkisches Theater Schloss Maßbach

The Franconian theater is a private theater in Maßbach ( Lower Franconia ), which is run as a limited company.

Director since 2003, Anne Maar (January 2008), granddaughter of the founder couple. The theater is home to three permanent venues in Maßbach castle, the Intimate Theatre (87 seats), the open-air theater (326 seats) and the TiP - Theatre in the horse stable (the youth theater venue ) with 60 seats. It regularly plays at about 25 performance venues from Fürth to Aschaffenburg, from Schweinfurt to Pfronten, so even in places beyond the borders of Franconia. In over 300 performances in front of about 65,000 spectators will be played. There are 11 new productions a year, each suite will be played 6 weeks. The Franconian Theater at Maßbach is the longest existing government-dependent private Gastspieltheater Germany and fulfills the functions of a national stage.
