Frans Ykens

Frans Ykens, also known as François Ykens, (* 1601 in Antwerp, † 1693 in Brussels ) was a Flemish painter who painted mainly still lifes. He was a student of Osias Beert the Elder.

Ykens himself had numerous pupils. Peter Paul Rubens, who was one of his friends, had several of his still lifes, which are now also shown in the Antwerp Rubens House.
