Franz Cibulka

Franz Cibulka (born 23 December 1946 in Fohnsdorf ) is an Austrian composer from Graz.

Biography

Franz Cibulka studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz include the clarinet, composition and conducting. He was until July 2002 a professor of clarinet, chamber music and music theory at Fux Conservatory in Graz.

Through performances of his works in the context of WASBE - 1997 ( World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles ) in Schladming his international breakthrough. In recent years he has worked in Australia, America, Russia and many European countries as a composer, conductor, performer, adjudicator and lecturer.

His catalog includes more than 300 compositions in different styles and have cast. The works are created mostly at the request and suggestion of performers and with consideration for their ideas.
