Franz-Peter Hofmeister

Franz -Peter Hofmeister (* August 5, 1951 in Kerpen ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympic medal winner who - starting for the Federal Republic - was successful and in the 400 - meter dash -, 200 - as a sprinter in the 100 in the 1970s.

He won a bronze medal at the 1976 Olympic Games and in 1978 became double European champion.

Achievements

Franz -Peter Hofmeister initially belonged to the youth club 07 Bergheim, after 1974 the SV 04 Bayer Leverkusen, where he trained with Bernd Knut. In his playing days, he was 1.86 m tall and weighed 73 kg.
