Franz Senn Hut

The Franz Senn Hut is a mountain hut of the Section Innsbruck of the Austrian Alpine Club. It was named after Franz Senn, the pastor of Neustift and co-founder of the German - Austrian Alpine Club, named. Was built the cottage in 1885, since then took place in the years 1907, 1932 and 1960 several times an extension. 1907 the current access path of the Oberissalm was expanded for the supply by pack animals. During the Second World War, the hut was closed and was used by the Wehrmacht as a mountaineering school for mountaineers.
