Fred Dekker

Fred Dekker ( born April 9, 1959 in San Francisco, California) is an American film director and screenwriter.

Career

His career in film began Dekker as a screenwriter in 1986, when he won the screenplay for the horror film House. - The Horror House wrote, which was staged by director Steve Miner In the same year he gave himself his directorial debut with the film Night of the Creeps, for which he also worked as a screenwriter. The film was re-introduced in the horror genre, as well as the 1987 staged The Monster Squad. 1991 appeared the action movie Ricochet - The impact of the Dekker wrote the story. For the horror television series Tales from the Crypt, he wrote in the years 1989-1992 a total of five screenplays, one time he was the director. With the movie produced in 1993 RoboCop 3 was followed by his most recent work as a director. He also said goodbye for the next eight years from the film business and only came back in 2001 as associate producer of the television series Star Trek: Enterprise in appearance. For this he was also active as a screenwriter, and wrote three stories.
