Fred Raul

Fred Raul; actually Alois Greschitz ( born March 20, 1910 in Allersdorf, Styria, † August 25 1985 in Baden, Lower Austria ) was an Austrian actor and director.

Life

Fred Raul was born the son of the host and farmer Alois Greschitz and his wife Maria. After passing the high school and attending a theater school followed first stage activities at theaters in Graz, Stettin, Augsburg and Leipzig. From 1949 he was engaged as a game director and singer at the State Theatre in Salzburg. In 1956 he moved to the same functions at the Tyrolean State Theatre in Innsbruck and in the season 1957/1958 at the Raimund Theater in Vienna. In addition, he undertook several tours with his future wife Marika Rokk.

Fred Raul also acted in several film and television productions. Among them were several feature films with Marika Rokk, in which each led Georg Jacoby, the first husband of Marika Rokk, the Director.
