Frédéric Martel

Frédéric Martel ( born October 28, 1967 in Château Renard near Avignon, France ) is a French sociologist, author and journalist.

Life

Martel studied philosophy, political science and sociology in France. After his studies, he was from 1990 to 1992 for the French Embassy as an employee in Bucharest ( Romania) worked. From 1993 to 1994 he was employed as a political adviser to the French politician Michel Rocard. From 1997 to 2000 he was a political advisor to Martine Aubry. As a cultural attaché he was in the French Embassy in Washington, DC employed from 2001 to 2005. As an author he has written several books and has written several articles for international newspapers such as magazines Littéraire, L' Express, Dissent, The Nation and Haaretz. Martel produces a radio show mass Critique on the French radio station France Culture.
