Frédéric Michalak ( born October 16, 1982 in Toulouse, Haute -Garonne ) is a French rugby union player who is used to the position of scrum Halbs or the connector. He is active for the French national team and the RC Toulon. He is one of the most famous players of his sport in France. Frédéric Michalak is 1,82 m tall and weighs 77 kg.

Michalak was on 10 November 2001 his debut for the French national team against South Africa. Previously, he had won his first league title with Toulouse. 2003 and 2005 he won the Heineken Cup with his team. He participated in the World Championships in 2003 and 2007, while France was eliminated in the semifinals, respectively. In the 2003 World Cup Frédéric Michalak scored with 103 points behind Jonny Wilkinson (113 points), the second highest number of points. 2002, 2004 and 2006, he won the Six Nations tournament with the French national team.

After the World Cup 2007 tournament Michalak moved to South Africa to the Sharks. With the Natal Sharks, he won the 2008 Currie Cup. He played a year in South Africa and then returned to Toulouse. In 2011 he moved to South Africa to the Sharks. Since 2012 he plays for the French Top 14 club RC Toulon.
