Frederick Tennyson

Frederick Tennyson ( born June 5, 1807 in Louth, Lincolnshire, † February 26, 1898 in Kennsington, London ) was an English writer.

Life

Tennyson was the eldest son of the pastor of Somersby in Lincolnshire. He had twelve brothers and sisters, including Alfred and Charles, who were later also worked as a writer. He became a brother Arthur Hallam by his sister Emilia.

His schooling learned Tennyson at Eton College ( Eton ) and at St John 's College (Cambridge). He was considered a difficult student, and was expelled three times. 1830 Tennyson returned to Cambridge in 1832 and was able to successfully graduated with a BA complete.

The largest part of his life Tennyson in Italy and on the island of Jersey. He lived for twenty years at Florence, where he was a friend of Robert and Elizabeth Browning. There he also married in 1839 Maria Giuliotti, the daughter of a high government officials in Tuscany.

Back in the UK, Tennyson joined the Anglo-Israelism and was also the Church of the New Jerusalem near. He died over 90 years on 26 February 1898 in Kennsington and found his final resting place.
