Frederik Fetterlein

Frederik Fetterlein ( born July 11, 1970 in Glostrup, Capital Region ) is a former Danish tennis player.

Life

Fetterlein won in 1988 along with Nicklas Kulti his first tournament on the ATP Challenger Tour. In the following years he played successfully on the Challenger and Satellite Tour, where he was able to achieve in each case several tournament victories. In 1991, he won his first match on the ATP Tour, where he never was able to win decisively. His biggest success on the ATP Tour, he celebrated in 1997 on the side of Kenneth Carlsen, when he reached the doubles final of the indoor tournament in Copenhagen. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1995 with position 75 in singles. At Grand Slam tournaments he never got beyond the second round.

Fetterlein played 1989-2003 35 single and 13 double appearances for the Danish Davis Cup team. There he succeeded in doing individual victories against Goran Ivanisevic and Stefan Edberg.

He went to at the 1992 Summer Olympics and in the 1996 Summer Olympics for Denmark. On the side of Kenneth Carlsen he left respectively in the first round of the doubles competition. In 1996 he reached after a victory over Jacco Eltingh the second round, however, it lost to Marc Rosset.
