Freemasons (band)

The Freemasons are a British DJ and producer duo. They consist of Russell Small, one half of Phats & Small and James Wiltshire. Named after they have a pub in their place of origin Brighton.

They became known in 2005 with Love on My Mind with singer Amanda Wilson. The song contains samples of Jackie Moore's This Time Baby and When the Heartache Is Over by Tina Turner. After the title in the UK had come in the charts at # 11, he became a great club success internationally. In many European countries, the song entered the official charts, as well as in Australia, and in the U.S. it was a number - two hit on the Hot Dance Airplay charts. This was followed with Watchin ' ( also starring Amanda Wilson) and Rain Down Love ( with Siedah Garrett ) two more club hits that reached the Top 20 on the British charts.

They had 2007 Uninvited, a dance version of Alanis Morissette - new songs sung by Bailey Tzuke your own biggest hit. She reached in several countries, the top 10

In addition, they also had great success as a remixer. The hit Mesmerized by Faith Evans was with the remix of the Freemasons 2005 number - one hit of the U.S. club charts ( Billboard Hot Dance Club Play). A year later the same was achieved only with In My Mind by Heather Headley and then with Deja vu by Beyonce and Jay -Z, which additionally earned them a Grammy nomination. Other performers for which they made remixes are Whitney Houston, Fatboy Slim, Angie Stone, Luther Vandross, Loleatta Holloway and Jamiroquai. Since 2007, she also produced some songs for Kylie Minogue, Solange Knowles and Sophie Ellis -Bextor.

2007 published two albums of the Freemasons: the double album Shakedown both with their own songs as well as remixes, and Unmixed, with only the original versions of his own title.
