Freight rate

Freight rate refers to a method of determining the price for the transport of an asset, or the so- determined price.

The pricing depends on various parameters, from which the price is formed according to a table or formula. Such parameters are typically distance, mass, shape, volume and modes of transportation ( truck, ship, plane), and frequently also the availability of the necessary resources for the transport.

An example of a formula used to determine the load rate, the volume weight is used for air transport.
