French Riviera Marathon
The Marathon des Alpes -Maritimes is a marathon, which takes place since 2008 in the Department of Alpes -Maritimes between the cities of Nice and Cannes and in terms of numbers of participants the second largest in France after the Paris Marathon is. It is organized by Azur sports organization.
Route
The course essentially follows the Route du bord de mer. It begins in Nice on the Promenade des Anglais. Shortly after the start, the Hotel Negresco is happening. About Saint- Laurent- du- Var, Cagnes -sur -Mer and Villeneuve- Loubet leads to Antibes, where one has mastered half the distance. After a loop on the Cap d' Antibes and Juan -les-Pins, one passes Vallauris - Golfe- Juan and Cannes achieved. There, the goal is in front of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, which hosts the International Film Festival of Cannes.
