French submarine Favorite (Q195)

The La Favorite (Q 195 ) was a French submarine L' Aurore class. After the French capitulation in June 1940, the boat is under construction fell into the hands of the German Navy. The submarine was renamed on 13 May 1941 in UF 2. The La Favorite / UF 2 was built at the end and put on 5 November 1942 as the first submarine of the L' Aurore class officially in service. The Navy used the U- boat in the Baltic Sea as a training boat.

The La Favorite / 2 UF fell on July 5, 1944. The last German commander was Lieutenant Henry Gehrken. The submarine was scrapped in 1945 in Gdynia.
