Frenemy

As a frenemy, a portmanteau word from English- English friend and enemy, on German friend enemy or false friend, an enemy occurring as a friend or a business rival is referred to the one you depend.

In the English language the first appearance in 1953 was noted. In 2008, the word has also been included in the Oxford Dictionary.

When used in German-speaking countries are often found a connection to bullying.
