Freundeskreis

Friends, also briefly called FK, was a German hip- hop band.

History

A native of Stuttgart band sees himself as a representative of Conscious Rap. The Circle of Friends is well known for his political lyrics, as he fought for equal rights and international understanding. After the highly acclaimed debut album quadrature of the circle and the resulting coupled- hit single ANNA was released in 1999 the album with the same single Esperanto, named after the planned language Esperanto. The reason for the name of the album was given that hip -hop should be the Esperanto of youth. The subtitle " Amikaro " means " Friends " in Esperanto. The intro text of the album, spoken by Jean Codjo from Benin, is also in Esperanto. Max Herre is also one of the founders of the collective farm, a musical- political alliance.

More titles with you as with joy Dena Lane or Tabula Rasa Pt. 2 also brought further considerable success and the group in the German charts. Friends coverte also the song Hold on to your love laid stones (on Lee Perry's Police and Thieves Riddim ) Rio Reiser or clay shards for the soundtrack of the film 23 - Nothing is as it seems.

FK Allstars is an amalgamation of various hip-hop and reggae artists such as Afrob, Brooke Russell, Sékou, Joy Dena Lane, Wasi and gentleman.

Although the band of the FK Allstars has its roots in hip-hop, various music styles like reggae, jazz, soul and funk into the musical mix design. The band was often cited as one of the best hip -hop live acts in Germany - also because they are " A microphone and two plate decks " waived the usual in hip-hop method and, like the Fantastic Four, at concerts with live musicians occurred. In July 2007, a Best-Of-Album/DVD including two unreleased tracks appeared. For the 10th anniversary in 2007 a Circle ( FK 10) at various festivals in Germany. On 19 September 2007 gave her farewell concert in Stuttgart Friends Gazi Stadium on the Waldau.
