Geography
Friedeburgerhütte is located about 14 km northeast of Eisleben and 4.3 kilometers east of Gerbstedt in the valley of the river Schlenze that makes a bow to the southeast at Friedeburgerhütte. At the village opens a another coming from the north valley, this also flows a brook flows to Schlenze. North of Friedeburgerhütte there is a wooded escarpment that stretches in the east to the village of Thal. On this steep slope winds through switchbacks the road to Ihlewitz.

History
On 1 January 2010 the municipalities Friedeburgerhütte, Augsdorf, Hübitz, Ihlewitz, Rottelsdorf, Siersleben, Welfesholz and Zabenstedt merged with the city Gerbstedt the new city Gerbstedt. The administrative community Gerbstedt, belonged to the Friedeburgerhütte, was dissolved.
Culture and sights
Structures
- Grain bottles, bottle-shaped underground silos in which grain was stored for former miners. They were built around 1848, at a height of about 9 m, the diameter is about 4.50 m. It still preserves remains of two grain bottles.
- Light hole of the lug wrench, the construction of the 30 km long drainage tunnel a light hole was built in Friedeburgerhütte.
- St. Moritz clearly visible in the district Adendorf, the building is located in the north of Adendorf, from the main road.
Traffic
Friedeburgerhütte lies on the road connecting Friedeburg (Saale) - Sacred valley, where the road leads off towards Ihlewitz.
