Friedrich Eduard Meyerheim

Friedrich Eduard Meyer Home ( born January 7, 1808 in Gdansk, † 18 January 1879 in Berlin) was a German painter.

Life

Meyer home belonged to a family of artists originating from Danzig. The father Karl Friedrich Meyer was a home parlors and decorative painter who trained him at first.

Friedrich Eduard Meyer home came after initial studies in architectural painter Johann Adam Breysig in art school of his native town in 1830 to Berlin, where he further trained at the Academy led by Johann Gottfried Schadow. The son of Paul Meyer home has portrayed his father in 1877 in a masterful painting that came into the Museum of the City of Gdansk.

The artists Meyer family home

His brother Wilhelm Meyer Home (1815-1882) painted small genre paintings, horse pieces and maneuvers scenes with a smooth surface. Another brother, Hermann Meyer Home (* 1828) has architectural pieces and navies painted. His sons Franz Eduard Meyer Home (1838-1880) and Paul Friedrich Meyer Home (1842-1915) were his pupils.
