Georg Friedrich Hendel ( born December 14, 1874 in Vienna, † June 26, 1936 ) in Vienna, was an Austrian primary school principal, entomologist and Dipterologe.

He conducted research in the field of (Diptera ), found besides, many new species and created a classification scheme (taxonomy ) of Diptera.

At his request, was his valuable collection and library after his death, the property of the Natural History Museum in Vienna.
