Frightened Rabbit

Frightened Rabbit are a Scottish indie rock band from Glasgow.

Band History

The band was founded in 2004 by brothers Scott and Grant Hutchison, after Scott had previously used the name Frightened Rabbit for solo performances. Together with her friend Billy Kennedy they started as a trio a name in their homeland. 2006 they released their debut album Sing the Greys, which got such good reviews that it took Universal under contract and released the album across the UK and the USA. International performances, among others at South by Southwest in 2007 followed.

Before the second album, The Midnight Organ Flight they took the keyboard player Andy Monaghan on the band. The breakthrough came in but it was only with the third studio album The Winter of Mixed Drinks in the spring of 2010. Meanwhile, the band with Gordon Skene had grown to five members. With the album they made it for the first time in both the UK and in the U.S. album charts.
