Fritz Delius (actor)
Fritz Delius ( born September 28, 1890 in Berlin, † September 20, 1966 in Basel, born Friedrich Wilhelm diamond ) was a German actor.
Life
He made his debut in 1909 at the court theater in Meiningen and later acted frequently at the Reinhardt theaters in Berlin and Vienna. When silent film began during the First World War and was several times leading actor on the side of Henny Porten. Also Fern Andra was one of his partners. Twice he was also responsible as a screenwriter.
In the history of film at the court of love of the Sun King Louis XIV in 1920 he played in the 1920s, Delius turned more to the theater and then belonged for many years to the ensemble of the theater in the Josefstadt in Vienna. After the Anschluss Delius emigrated because of his Jewish origin in Switzerland. He later received an engagement at the Comedy in Basel.
