Fritzerkogel

The Fritzerkogel belongs with its 2,360 meters to the higher peaks in the Tennen Mountains in the Northern Limestone Alps. Striking it is considered from the north as a relatively stand-alone, wide block, which breaks off in all directions with remarkable cliffs and steep Schrofenflanken. Location

The Fritzerkogel rises in the eastern part of the Tennen Mountains high above the valley of the Lammer between Abtenau and Annaberg. Thus, it presents itself directly across from Gosaukammbahn, miter and Dachstein Mountains. The actual karst plateau of the Tennen Mountains lies to the west only behind the lead mountain. Routes

The Fritzerkogel is one of the more visited mountains in the Tennen Mountains, however, is not without problems to climb. Requirement are sure-footed, head for heights, good physical condition and alpine experience. This steep route is considered the normal route, leading from the Laufener hut the southward over grass and mountain slopes and several hollows on one shoulder. Something simple, but also a little longer this route, which initially leads westward from the Laufener cabin in the Tennkessel and after 15 minutes turns left ( straight on to lead Kogel ).
