Shingle knives are tools for splitting wood processing and are used to produce wood shingles. Wood shingles were usually produced on farms themselves. In certain regions, the professionalization and demand led to the occupation of shingle maker.

Basics

Shingle knives are available in different sizes. These range from about 10 cm to about 30 cm blade length. Also varies the length of the handle, of 10 cm to about 60 cm.
