Fujitsu Lifebook

Lifebook ( official spelling LIFEBOOK ) denotes the notebook series by Fujitsu Technology Solutions (formerly Fujitsu Siemens Computers ), which is aimed at business customers. These differ from series for consumers, for example by a modular extension of the drive bay and by the optional connection for a port replicator. The series are divided on this in the Series LifeBook C, E, P, S, Q and T. The naming of the series is similar to the mobile phones of Siemens AG, originally inspired by the series of Mercedes -Benz passenger cars. The series are manufactured by Fujitsu itself, unlike the Amilo series, which is purchased in large part.

Class designations

LifeBook A

The A- series was introduced in 2010 and currently consists (November 2010 ) from the " all-round" models A530, AH530 and AH550, which are offered in different variants. Similarities are displays with 39.6 cm (15.6 inch) diagonal LED - backlit 1366x768 pixels ( 16:9 aspect ratio, with or without anti-glare ), as well as the built Chipset Intel HM55 and keyboards with numeric keypad. The devices are available with mobile processors mainly from the Intel Core i series.

Lifebook B

The B-Series was the Biblo class for subnotebooks. The special feature of these models is the touch-sensitive 10.4 " TFT screen. The B-Series was sold mainly in the Asian market and is no longer built and replaced by the T- series and P- series.

LifeBook C

The C-Series until 01/ 2008, the entry-level series for professional users. It was constructed in a simple and robust, but some additional options such as 3D graphics cards were not available, and differed little from the purely external E-series.

LifeBook E

The E-Series is a series of desktop replacement notebooks. They are very robust and generally have more powerful components than the C - series ( faster processors, more RAM, etc.) installed, which is reflected in the price. The E series has generally equipped with a higher-quality, high-contrast 15/15 0.4 -inch screen, which is especially designed for office use, since no reflective displays are used and mostly 4:3 formats are available.

Lifebook P

Under the P- series several ultraportable notebooks are available. This includes, for example, the P1620, which is equipped with a weight of 1 kg of the lightest convertible tablet PC. The P stands for Piccolo.

Lifebook Q

The Q series are lifestyle notebooks that stand out by piano lacquer as well as ergonomic requirements in stainless steel design of the other series and a demanding buyers should appeal. This series is particularly optimized for mobile use, so only ultra-low- voltage processors, the Intel Core architecture are used, the main memory is soldered and two batteries can be used with a term of more than 10 hours.

LifeBook S

The S- Series is a notebook series that is originally designed for frequent travelers. The performance is roughly comparable with the E-series, but the design is slightly lighter and the notebooks are smaller by 14/13-Zoll-Displays.

LifeBook T

The T- series consists of convertible tablet PCs. The T stands for tablet. The T-Series was introduced in September 2003 with the T3010, which was the launch of the most powerful Tablet PC and Convertible, the first of FTS at all. FTS has indeed previously been a long time operated with a pen computer built ( Stylistic ), but these were without any additional devices exclusively for pen input suitable (see Slate Tablet PCs).

The T4210 was launched in June 2006 and was the first tablet PC with an Intel Core Duo processor. The Toshiba Tecra M7 was taken about a month later to the market. The LIFEBOOK T4215 was the first convertible tablet PC with embedded UMTS.

LifeBook U

Fujitsu Japan has introduced an extremely small and light convertible Tablet PC in May 2007. The only 580 grams heavy device is marketed as a UMPC and is about the size of a PDA.
