Fundo Island

Fundo is one of the larger islands of Zanzibar. The 9 km long and 1 km wide island is surrounded by a coral reef. Together with Njao immediately north, as well as other islands, the island forms a natural protection for the Port of Wete that is six miles to the east.

The inhabitants of the island live off fishing and woodworking.
