Fuschl am See
The resort Fuschl am See is located in Fuschl am See in Austria's Salzkammergut region at the Wolfgangsee main road between Salzburg and Bad Ischl and has 1498 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is part of the Judicial District Thalgau.
History
The first mention of the area was made in the 8th century. In the 12th century, the term was first Fuschilsee in a document, also the first goods were mentioned in Ellmau.
The Wait rock castle was built in the 13th century, at the same time higher up goods in Ellmau and Brunn are detected. In the 15th century the village was Fuschl, furthermore, the cross column was erected in the coatings.
A first street to the courtyard on the south side of the lake was created in the 16th century. In addition, the Fuschl castle was first mentioned and demonstrated the Taferne to Brunn in a document.
