Fuseki

In the opening theory of Go the Fuseki (Japanese布 石) denotes the phase of the game, in which, most areas are initially staked loose from the corners starting. Fuseki in theory the whole or at least the position of a half of the board is considered.

Unlike Jōsekis are Fusekis Full board pattern and far less explored. Such games go quickly into unknown variants. Again, just like Jōsekis, only a few openings have familiar names. Examples are the three-star opening ( sanrensei ), the two-star opening ( nirensei ) and the Chinese opening. More specifically, the name are more likely to build up the black blocks on one side of the board; White can choose between at least two dozen formations on the other side. The Chinese Opening, which has a complicated history, was actually developed by the Chinese and is a very popular opening, the theory of which is comparatively advanced since 1970.
