Fuzhou University

The Fuzhou University (福州 大学, Pinyin: Fuzhou Daxue ) is a state university in the Chinese city of Fuzhou, the provincial capital of Fujian.

History

The Fuzhou University was founded in 1958 and has now (2006 ) about 25,000 students. The University Library has a stock of 1 million volumes and 5,000 periodicals.

The Fuzhou University was one of the first Chinese universities who had Internet access in 1995.

The Fuzhou University was the first university in the province of Fujian, which sets up German as a major subject in 2005.
