FV 438 Swingfire

The FV 438 Swing Fire is a tank destroyer during the Cold War from a British production. It belongs to the family of FV -430 series.

As in the 1970s, the first vehicles were delivered to the British Army, they have been used in special tank destroyer units within the Royal Artillery. In the 1980s this unit was renamed the Royal Armoured Corps. A regiment had nine FV- 438- Swingfire tanks.

The FV 438 is essentially based on the transport FV 432, but is equipped with two starters for the rocket launcher Swingfire. Overall, the FV could carry 438 14 missiles. Reloading was possible from the inside of the tank out.
