The Beijing - Taipei highway or Jingtai Expressway (Chinese京 台 高速公路, Pinyin Jingtai Gaosu Gonglu, English Jingtai Expressway), Ch: Abbr G3, is currently a 1881 km long highway in China, the capital Beijing in the north with the eastern Chinese metropolis of Fuzhou connects. Except for a short stretch in Fujian Province this route is one continuous section. An extension in the Taiwanese capital Taipei is planned, however, controversial because of the Taiwan conflict. After the People's Republic of China considered Taiwan a renegade province, while the Republic of China sees Taiwan as a sovereign state. Another challenge would be the construction of a 100 km-long tunnel under the present Formosastraße. Would he realized, cheating the total length of 2030 km.
