Gabardine

Gabardine is a woolen fabric with a distinctive, steep twill ridge by diagonal bonds ( steep, ribs, string body ) in dense warp thread density ( not round ).

Be used pure wool worsted yarns, Viskosekammgarne, worsted chain and Streichgarnschuss, blended yarns of wool and synthetic fibers, wool and half cotton. The most kahlappretierten tissue to coats (usually impregnated), suits, athletic shorts and dresses processed.

A gabardine with wide Köpergraten is called Whipcord.
