Gabby Douglas
Gabrielle Christina Victoria " Gabby " Douglas (born 31 December 1995, Virginia Beach, Virginia) is an American gymnast. You gymnastics at Liang Chow, who has also coached Shawn Johnson. At the 2012 Summer Olympics she won two gold medals in team and individual all-around. This makes it the first African American who won this discipline.
Sporting career
At its special equipment, the uneven bars, she could celebrate two victories at the 2010 Pan American Championships and 2012 at the Pacific Rim Championships.
After she was changed into the adult area 2011, she won at the World Gymnastics Championships in 2011 with the American team the gold medal. In the Olympic gymnastics in 2012 the 16- year-old Douglas took in London two times Olympic gold with the U.S. team and individual all-around. In the individual competitions on the uneven bars and the balance beam she could not reach another medal.
