Gabi Novak

Gabi Novak (* 1936 in Berlin) is a Croatian pop and pop singer.

Life

Her father was a Croat, her mother German. At the beginning of the Second World War, the family fled to the island of Hvar. At a young age she started her career in Zagreb. Their first single Vreme za Twist was published in 1959. Numerous records and music albums followed. Her career reached its peak in the 1960s. Her career continues to this day, and made ​​it the most successful pop singer in Croatia. In addition to her work as a pop singer Gabi Novak also interpreted songs and jazz. At the ceremony of the porin Discography Prize she was awarded in 2006 for Lifetime Achievement. She is married since 1973 with the famous Croatian singer Arsen Dedić.
