Gabriela von Habsburg

Gabriela von Habsburg (actually Gabriela Maria Habsburg-Lothringen, born October 14, 1956 in Luxembourg as Gabriela of Austria - Hungary) is an Austrian sculptor and art professor. In 2007, her Georgian citizenship was the inauguration of the created by her " rose revolution monument " by the President Mikheil Saakashvili awarded. From 6 November 2009 to 14 March 2013, it served as Ambassador of Georgia in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Education and Career

After graduating from high school in 1976 in Tutzing ( Bavaria ), she studied from 1976 to 1978 thinking behind the University of Munich and then from 1978 to 1982 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Robert Jacobsen and Eduardo Paolozzi.

Since 2001 she has been a professor at the Art Academy Tbilisi ( Georgia ) and had from 2001 to 2005 to teach at the Summer Academy in Neuburg an der Donau. Since 2005, she has also a lecturer at the Academy of Bad Reichenhall. In addition, she has taught since 2004 Art at the BOS Scheyern.

The posting of the Habsburgs as Georgian Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, it was decided in the Georgian Parliament on 6 November 2009. Since March 22, 2010 Gabriela Habsburg-Lothringen was accredited by the Foreign Office as an ambassador and now lives in Berlin during the week and on weekends at home in Bavaria Lake Starnberg.

Since March 2010, Gabriela von Habsburg Georgia represents Austrian Service Abroad of the International Council of the Association.

Family

Gabriela von Habsburg is the fourth child of Otto von Habsburg and his wife Regina von Habsburg. She was married from September 1978 to 1997 with the German lawyer Christian masters, with which they have a son ( born 1981 ) and two daughters, has (* 1983 * 1986).

After her mother's death Gabriela von Habsburg took over in February 2010, whose term of office as Grand Master of the Order of the Star Cross, which is connected with the title of the Supreme Order of Protection woman.
