Gaby Morlay
Gaby Morlay ( born June 8, 1893 in Angers, Maine -et -Loire, † July 6, 1964 in Nice, France; actually Blanche Pauline Fumoleau ) was a French film actress.
Life
Gaby Morlay was born in Angers (Maine -et- Loire). Under the stage name " Gaby Morlaix " it first appeared in Paris at the Theatre Capucines. Her first feature film she made in 1913 with La sandal rouge. She also made in the same time a skit with the legendary comedian Max Linder. Among the notable directors with whom she turned, included Sacha Guitry and Max Ophüls. She has also worked in Italy in a few films. Many important castmates played with her, Jean Gabin, Charles Boyer, Jean -Louis Barrault, Jean Marais, Erich von Stroheim, Fernandel.
