Gachala Emerald
Gachala (English Gachala Emerald ) is the name of a 858 carats ( 171.6 g) heavy uncut emerald. The specimen was discovered in 1967 in the mine Vega de San Juan in Colombia. He's named after the mining district in which he was found. The meanwhile located in the United States five centimeters long stone was made as the Smithsonian Institution as a gift already on 8 November 1958, the Hope Diamond, by New York jeweler Harry Winston.
