Gadzhi Abashilov

Gadzhi Achmedowitsch Abaschilow (Russian Гаджи Ахмедович Абашилов; * 1950 in Sogratl at Gunib, Dagestan, † March 21, 2008 in Makhachkala ) was a Russian journalist and politician.

Abaschilow studied at the University of Dagestan. From 1975 to 1991 he worked for the Komsomol. From 1991 to 2006, the chief editor of the weekly magazine Molodezh Dagestana before leaving for WGTRK head of the local television company was established in January 2007. Since 1999 Abaschilow was also active as a local politician.

On March 21, 2008, he was shot from so far not been clarified reasons outside a shop in the Dagestani capital Makhachkala.
